AI is already part of the genetic counseling landscape whether we are ready for it or not. Proper use can be a springboard for your knowledge and career goals, but using it in the wrong way can stunt your learning and be dangerous for your patients. This 90 minute workshop gives you a clear, grounded foundation so you can move forward with confidence instead of guesswork. You'll walk away understanding: • What AI actually is (and isn't) in the context of clinical genetics • Where AI is already showing up in GC workflows today • How to use AI tools without compromising patient relationships or trust • The ethical boundaries every genetic counselor needs to understand • Practical tools you can use immediately for applications, coursework, documentation and workflow This is the right starting point if you're feeling behind, unsure, or just want clarity before diving in.
