Service Description
9/19/23 at 7:30 pm EST 11/9/23 at 7:30 pm EST Do you have specific questions about your application essay and want a program director's opinion? This small group coaching session (up to 6 students) will provide an intimate setting for you to ask specific questions, get personal feedback, and hear advice given to other applicants on their Statement of Purpose essays. It is strongly advised that before you have coaching, you watch the Writing a Compelling Statement of Purpose instructional video in Module 2 (available through an access plan or by individual purchase) for guidance in crafting your essay. This video will help you move beyond the basic essay structure and brainstorm your best narrative strategy so that when you meet with Janice, you can receive high-yield, high-value feedback. The expectation for this session is that you have already drafted your essay to the point where it cannot get any better without personalized help. Participating applicants should come with specific questions, particular passages of their essay to review, and a mind open to feedback and learning! **Please note, applicants to Bay Path should NOT attend this session. To avoid a conflict of interest, Bay Path will be unable to consider applicants who have been coached directly by Janice. Sessions led by other counselors are recommended for those who wish to apply to Bay Path.**
