Invitations for interviews were sent and it just wasn't your year. It's okay to be very upset...it would be strange if it wasn't distressing. But keep in mind that a lack of interviews has NOTHING to do with your potential to be a great genetic counselor. There are many factor that can play a role into why a great candidate was not interviewed. This small group will focus on how to mitigate the difficult emotions in this process and help identify areas of improvement for next year. Each attendee will leave with a clear plan for the next cycle if they desire to reapply.
