Service Description

One of the reasons our counseling abilities improve over time is that our empathy grows as we meet with families affected by genetic disorders and hear their various experiences. There are many books written by these families or their counselors that can give you a head start in considering what your patients will be going through. 9/28/22 - A Guide to Genetic Counseling, Chapters 4-7 by Wendy R. Uhlmann, Jane L. Schuette, Beverly M. Yashar (this will be your textbook!) 10/20/22 - In Good Conscience by Janice Berliner 12/21/23 - A Guide to Genetic Counseling, Chapters 8-10 by Wendy R. Uhlmann, Jane L. Schuette, Beverly M. Yashar (this will be your textbook!) 1/25/23 - A Guide to Genetic Counseling, Chapters 11-14 by Wendy R. Uhlmann, Jane L. Schuette, Beverly M. Yashar (this will be your textbook!) 3/8/23 - A Guide to Genetic Counseling, Chapters 15-18 by Wendy R. Uhlmann, Jane L. Schuette, Beverly M. Yashar (this will be your textbook!)
